About Us

VAAR is a vegan animal rights organization that has a rescue shelter and farm sanctuary in Hoi An, Vietnam and office in Hanoi. We are part of a growing non-speciesist global animal rights movement that works to protect all sentient beings. Our rescued animals live on our shelter and farm sanctuary property in Hoi An where our education programs take place, but we are moving all the animals to Hanoi in order to better serve the community of animal rights organizations in Vietnam and to access higher quality veterinary care in the capital city.
